As I was reading about Library 2.0 I realized the our library system is already going that way. I just didn't know that was what is was called (Library 2.0). Many of our library resources are available through our website from outside the library. We also offer free downloading of video through MyLibrarydv and audio through R.E.A.D.S. We offer E-books in our collection and have free WiFi at our main library. As Rick Anderson of UNR Libraries says "we need to find new ways to bring services to patrons". I think that we have a good start on that.
Through our library website our patrons may check for materials in other Tennessee public libraries and the World Cat and then make Interlibrary loan requests. Interlibrary loan is way to expand our services using other libraries resources.
There were so many things to digest about Library 2.0 that I hope I have made an somewhat coherent blog entry.
